Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Zurich-based photographer Serge Proton began his journey into photography while working at the Swiss publishing house Edipresse Group. Starting out as a photo editor, he gradually transitioned behind the camera, developing a strong voice through portrait and interview photography.
Serge’s career took a significant leap when he joined Getty Images, gaining access to some of the world’s most high-profile events. He has covered the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Munich Security Conference, and later found his passion in the dynamic world of sports photography. He further refined his skills during a specialised sports photography internship in Austria.
Over the years, Serge has collaborated with global brands such as Red Bull, and continues to work across both political and sporting arenas—spaces where high-speed action and human emotion collide. His visual language is shaped by a keen eye for movement, tension, and story-driven composition.
A strong believer in the power of imagery to communicate impact, Serge also devotes time to charity and social projects, using photography as a tool to highlight underrepresented issues and human stories.
His mission is clear: to tell compelling visual stories from the frontlines of motion—whether on the political stage or in the sports arena.
